SSC CHSL 2024 Exam Date

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the tentative SSC CHSL Exam Dates for the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2024.

According to the SSC Calendar 2024, the Tier 1 exam is scheduled to take place on July 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th in 2024, with multiple shifts across the country.

SSC CHSL 2024 Online Form

The dates for the online application process for the SSC CHSL 2024 exam are also specified in the SSC CHSL Notification 2024.

The online application window will be open for one month, from April 8th to May 7th, 2024, until 11 pm. Candidates are required to apply within this period.

SSC CHSL 2024 Application Fee

• For the General Category applicants of SSC CHSL 2024, the required application fee is Rs. 100/-.
• Exemption: Female candidates, as well as those belonging to SC, ST, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Servicemen categories, are not required to pay any application fee.

SSC CHSL 2024 Exam Eligibility Criteria

There are 3 important eligibility criteria that a candidate must fulfill to be eligible for the SSC CHSL 2024 exam. The 3 parameters are given below:

A candidate must be either:

• (a) a citizen of India, or
• (b) a subject of Nepal, or
• (c) a subject of Bhutan, or
• (d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st of January 1962, to permanently settle in India, or
• (e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam to permanently settle in India.

SSC CHSL 2024 Age Limit (as on 01/08/2024)

The age range for SSC CHSL posts is between 18 and 27 years.

Candidates who were born on or after August 2, 1997, and on or before August 1, 2006, are eligible to apply.

There are certain relaxations allowed in the upper age limit for different categories:

SSC CHSL 2024 Educational Qualification (as of 01/08/2024)

• For LDC/JSA and DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’ (except DEOs in Department/ Ministry): The candidates who are planning to appear in the CHSL 2024 exam must have passed the 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
• For Data Entry Operator (DEO)/ DEO Grade ‘A’ in Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and Ministry of Culture): 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.

SSC CHSL 2024 Admit Card

Every candidate who registers for the SSC CHSL Exam 2024 within the specified timeframe will receive an e-admit card/hall ticket/call letter, which can be downloaded from the official website of SSC.

Initially, the admit card for the CHSL Tier-1 exam will be issued, followed by the admit card for the CHSL Tier-2 exam. The Tier-2 exam is administered only to those candidates who qualify for the Tier-1 exam.

SSC CHSL 2024 Exam Pattern

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) examination in two stages for numerous positions:

Before you start preparing for the SSC CHSL exam, it’s crucial to take note of any changes in the exam pattern and syllabus.

Here are the updates to the SSC CHSL Exam Pattern 2024:

• SSC CHSL 2024 Tier 1 exam will be conducted in online mode.
• Introduction of a descriptive paper of 100 marks within 60 minutes in pen and paper mode.
• Reduction in the time limit for examination of Tier -I from 75 minutes to 60 minutes.
• Tier II will include Objective Multiple Choice + Skill Test & Typing Test.

Important Points:

1. Negative marking is applicable in the SSC CHSL 2024 Tier 1 Exam. Providing an incorrect answer to a question will result in a penalty of 0.5 marks deducted from the total score in all sections.
2. For visually handicapped candidates, the exam duration is extended to 75 minutes.
